The advert dropped on October 13th and features a mother looking at the camera and stating that: “Christmas isn’t just one day, it’s lots of days” as her family exchange gifts.

Concerns as Martech deployment reduces despite progress

Martech deployment has seen a reduction in spite of significant changes in how marketing teams manage their technology.

The news comes from Gartner’s 2022 Disruptions Derail Progress in Martech Utilization Survey, which found that just 42% of marketers are deploying the breadth of capabilities available in their Martech stack overall, down from 58% in 2020.

People first marketing sees a growth in contextual advertising

A third of consumers are “creeped out” with behavioural tracking technology so digital marketers are turning back to contextual advertising.

A survey of more than 1,000 adults aged 18+ in the UK were surveyed by The Harris Poll on behalf of GumGum also found that 31% of respondents “felt violated” by the use of behavioural tracking to deliver advertising to them on the internet.
